As with so much of Bach's choral writing, he makes virtuosic demands of all parts, often writing music that would not look out of place on the stand of a first desk violin! We supplement our programme with some less well-known, but nonetheless beautiful, motets by other masters of the period.

The concert features festive works old and new, by composers including Praetorius, Poston, Treseder, Dove, Todd, L'Estrange and Jackson, accompanised by Iain Farrington.
We will also perform a selection of traditional carols (including some with audience participation).
